BAKED PITA CHIPS
Use these ideas as a springboard for your own pita chip creations. Start with pita rounds, brush with olive oil, season with your choice of herbs, seeds, and spices, cut into wedges, and bake!
I like to make this healthy nibble even lighter and healthier by using whole wheat pitas and separating each one into two rounds before proceeding.
DIRECTIONS
Brush pita rounds with olive oil. Sprinkle with herbs, seeds, spices and/or kosher salt. (See examples below.) Cut into wedges and arrange in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 minutes or until crisp and lightly browned. Let cool completely. Store pita chips in a covered tin for up to 4 days.
